You might be wondering what I am talking about, but if you are serious about making money online then you need to take original content seriously. Writing your own content matters.

So let me explain!

If you set up a Website/Blog then you could quite easily go to some article directories and use an article that someone else has written and normally you would have to keep the link back to the Author. Now this is fine you can get plenty of material relating to your Blog topic and quite quickly fill up your site with many posts.

The thing is that you are probably not the only one who is using those same articles and before you know it there are loads of duplicates of the same article floating around the Internet. Now if you have your Blog set up right (you can find out Right Here) then every time you publish a new post you will be alerting the search engines. The search engines will come and scan your post to see if it is worth ranking.

If your post contains original content then the search engines will welcome it, but if you post is a copy of many others then it will be over looked. It is OK to add an article that you find interesting, that was written by someone else, but not for every post you publish.

The key to make the search engines sit up and notice your site and therefore rank you as a good quality site is to make sure you write plenty of original content. This does not mean you can’t write about a subject that someone else has already covered, that would be near on impossible. What it does mean is don’t copy what someone else has already written about that subject.

The best way is to write it in your own words. This is why it is best to Blog about something you know plenty about and are passionate about, that way you write it how you see it.

If your Blog was about car maintenance then you may write a post about how to change a wheel, this would be helpful to many people. Now although you would not be the first to explain how to successfully achieve this task, because you know how to do it and you have done it many times, you would explain it in your own words how you know how to do it and it would be a miracle if there was another article on the Internet that explained it exactly how you have, word for word. So the search engines would see it as original content.

So remember to get the search engines attention, firstly have your Blog set up correctly and secondly always write original content.
