Article Marketing-Writing For Traffic

If you want to be heard and get your views that you spend time writing about then you need to get traffic to your site. So you have to market your site. Nobody is going to visit your site if they don’t know it exists.

So you will need to do some article marketing. We already know that writing original content is going to bring you readers (traffic) over time. But you will need to roll your sleeves up and write some articles that you can submit to article directories. There are plenty of them and they all have a heavy flow of traffic. This means that your article has a good chance of being read and at the end of your article you have a resource box that will let you put a link to your site, which means if the reader liked what they read in your article then they may well visit your site through the link.

The great thing about article marketing is that it is free to join most of these directories and you can write as many articles as you want, making more and more opportunities for your site to be promoted and ultimately helping in building your traffic.

The key point when writing for directories is that you need to do the same as your site, keep the article original and if you can make it fun to read. But make the content interesting because the more interested a reader is in your article the more chance there is of them wanting to get more of the same on your site.

A knock on affect that can happen with your articles are that other website owners may like what you have written and decide to put your article on their site, which is perfectly OK for them to do so (as long as you haven’t stated otherwise) as long as they keep you as the Author and your  link in place. This means that you then have their traffic potentially becoming your traffic. Now you can see how great article marketing can be and once you have written an article it will carry on working for you every day.

This has got to be better than spending hours everyday commenting in forums to get attention. Don’t get me wrong forums are great fun and you can find out lots of information from their members, who are always very helpful. But you must see the advantage that article marketing has and it is definately worth your while checking out some article directories.

One thing I will point out is before you start writing away and submitting your articles do make sure you read the directories rules. The reason for this is that every article you write will be checked before it goes public, this is to make sure that you are not just putting together an advert for your site. Your articles have to be worthy of inclusion, So don’t just write about how great your site is and how the reader should visit it.
